Welcome to Hunter Passport. By using our application and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hunter Passport, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hunter Passport. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the service. By using Hunter Passport, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from someone under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us at privacy@hunterpassport.com .

3. Description of Service

Hunter Passport is a mobile application that allows users to digitally store and organize their hunting and fishing licenses. The app provides:

  • Offline-first license storage
  • OCR scanning for license data extraction
  • Quick Display mode for license verification
  • Expiration reminders
  • Cloud backup and sync (premium feature)

4. Important Disclaimer

Hunter Passport is a convenience tool for organizing your licenses. It does NOT replace official state-issued licenses.

You are responsible for carrying valid, state-issued licenses as required by law. Acceptance of digital license display varies by state and is at the discretion of law enforcement officers. Always verify current regulations in your hunting or fishing location.

5. User Accounts

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

The free tier allows storage of unlimited licenses from one state. No payment is required.

Premium Subscription

Premium features are available for $39.99 per year (billed annually) or $3.99 per month. Premium includes:

  • Unlimited states
  • Cloud backup and sync
  • Priority support

Billing

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing terms are governed by their respective terms of service. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refunds

Refund requests should be directed to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store per their refund policies.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the app for any illegal purpose
  • Upload fraudulent or falsified license information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the application
  • Use the app to harass or harm others
  • Violate any applicable hunting or fishing regulations

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload (license images, data). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display that content solely for providing the service to you.

9. Intellectual Property

Hunter Passport, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy of OCR data extraction
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Acceptance of digital licenses by authorities

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUNTER PASSPORT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data
  • Citations or fines resulting from invalid or unaccepted license display
  • Service interruptions
  • Device damage

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hunter Passport from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data through the app's data export feature. After this period, your cloud-stored data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Local data on your device remains under your control.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. For consumer claims, arbitration fees will be split or covered by Hunter Passport as required by AAA rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
